The Scopa Lounge chair
This playful lounge chair is inspired by some designs from the creative landscape of 1970s Northern Italy. Its form originated from a simple conical leg, which, through iterative sketching, evolved into a sculptural inclined cone section, which gives the piece an almost animalesque, spider-like appearance. Designed for exceptional comfort, it is ideal for reading or relaxation. Shown here in two variations, one features American Black Walnut legs and arms with a red mohair-upholstered seat and back, while the second version is fully upholstered for a softer, more enveloping feel.
